Toolkit: Engaging Your Corporate Volunteers

In Student Support Roles

In today’s corporate landscape, fostering meaningful partnerships and engaging employees in volunteer service has become increasingly essential. When collaborating with entities such as school districts, schools, nonprofit educational organizations, or youth-serving organizations, a strategic approach is critical.

The National Partnership for Student Success (NPSS) Hub at the Everyone Graduates Center, in collaboration with the READY SET coalition and the key contributors listed below, is excited to announce the launch of a new resource: A toolkit for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) leaders centered around engaging corporate volunteers in NPSS aligned roles as tutors, mentors, and postsecondary transition coaches. This toolkit is the third part of a three-part series of documents, complementing the Toolkit for Nonprofits launched late last year. Supporting both toolkits is the Engaging Corporate Volunteers in Student Support Roles Menu of Services.

For-profit companies are an integral part of their communities, and encouraging employees to volunteer, particularly in and in support of evidence-based roles that five can be combined to meet holistic student needs, can be a powerful way for companies to give back while helping staff develop personally and professionally.

  • Are you a corporate employer? Utilize this toolkit to consider volunteer engagement in supporting youth in your community.
  • Are you a nonprofit looking to recruit corporate volunteers? Consider sharing this with local employers in your network and check out our companion toolkit for nonprofits.
